Grammarly is bringing its AI-powered grammar help to the one place where you likely need it the most: your iPhone.

The startup, which specializes in assisting the grammatically challenged, is launching a mobile version of its service in the form of an iPhone keyboard app, which will help fix your typing errors and recommend better alternatives.

The app, which is iPhone only for now though an Android version is apparently in the works, detects errors as you type and offers up suggestions you can use to automatically fix what you wrote.

That may sound straightforward enough, but Grammarly, which raised $110 million earlier this year, says it's much more than just a hyped-up spelling and grammar check service. The company uses machine learning technology to understand the meaning of your words to better inform its suggestions.

"Grammarly’s algorithms not only catch context-specific grammar and spelling mistakes, but also the kind of confusing sentences that leave your colleagues (or worse, your boss) wondering what you’re talking about," the company's VP of Product Ayan Mandal wrote in a blog post.

The app has both free and premium tiers, with paid users getting access to more advanced writing help, rather than just error corrections.
