Here's everything Google revealed at its Pixel 2 event
Google is back in the game.
At the company's highly anticipated hardware event in San Francisco on Wednesday, Google revealed a trove of new devices, from phones and laptops to snazzy new speakers.

Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL
Google delivered on smartphones this time around, finally releasing the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL to the world.
The highly anticipated Pixel devices are the first to have Google Lens. They're also water resistant and have fast charging capabilities, exclusive AR stickers, anda kickass camera. But that's not all.
Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XLCredit: GoogleGoogle introduced a cool new Pixel feature called Active Edge, which lets users squeeze the edges of the phone to ask for what they need, such as "take a selfie." The feature even works when your phone is in a case.
The phones come in three colors: kinda blue, just black, and clearly white. They currently have the highest-scored camera of any smartphone, complete with portrait mode on both front and rear lenses and a new autofocus mechanism.
The Pixel 2 — which has a 5-inch OLED display and resolution of 1080x1920 pixels — costs $649, and the 2XL — which has a 6-inch OLED display and resolution of 1440x2560 pixels — starts at $849.

GoogleHome Mini
Google's tiny new addition to the smart speaker family has arrived, and though it's small, it's got some mighty capabilities.
The Home Mini is made with durable material, and its circular shape allows for 360-degree sound. It adds Google Assistant to any Chromecast Audio compatible speaker, making Google Home far more accessible throughout your house.
Using Voice Match technology, the Home Mini identifies individuals to provide personal assistance to each. It acts as a remote control, an alarm clock, a sous chef, and more, using four LED lights to let know you it's responding to you.
Say things like "Call Alex" and ask Google Home Mini questions like "What's the weather?" and it'll have your back.
The miniature device retails for $49 and is available in three new colors: coral, chalk, and charcoal.

Google Home Max
What's a mini without a max, right?
In addition to the visually pleasing little speaker, Google unveiled a powerhouse addition to the Home devices — the Home Max.
Max – which is 20 times more powerful than the regular Google Home — is made from two powerful 4.5 inch high-excursion woofers and was designed to completely redefine your audio experience.
Google Home MaxCredit: googleLike the Mini, Home Max uses Voice Match to ensure individuals get their own personal DJ experience, but it's the first speaker with Smart Sound technology. This lets Max learn and respond to user preferences and routines accordingly.
Max also works with music services like Spotify, YouTube Music, Pandora, Google Play, TuneIn, and iHeart Radio, along with other popular entertainment services.
The device will be available this December in chalk and charcoal, retailing at $399.
GooglePixelbook
A new high-performance Chromebook is here, and it's got a pretty nice ring to it.
Google unveiled the Pixelbook on Wednesday, which it describes as its "thinnest, lightest laptop" yet. The 10.3mm, 1.1 kg machine is completely versatile, allowing users to fold it, prop it up, or hold it like a tablet.

It also comes equipped with 12.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, which means the screen isn't horribleto look at, and has storage capabilities up to 512 GB.
Aside from its physical improvements, Pixelbook is the first laptop to have a built-in Google Assistant and Google has introduced the Pixelbook Pen, which will let you make the absolute most of the device. Oh, yeah — did we forget to mention Snapchat is coming to your Pixelbook?
The Pixelbook is available for pre-order starting at $999, and the Pixelbook Pen sells for $99.
Daydream View
With upgraded lenses, a wider field of view, and new fabric, Google's VR headset, the Daydream View, is here to rock all your worlds.
Credit: googleIn addition to a new lineup of colors and more than 250 VR game titles, Google announced premium video content would be coming to Daydream.
The device can be paired with any Daydream compatible phone and is currently available for $99 at Google's online store.
Other fun stuff
Google Pixel Buds
Google announced some sweet new wireless headphones that work with Pixel to offerreal-time Google translation in 40 languages.
Credit: googleAvailable for $159, the buds provide five hours of listening time in one charge and come in a charging case that holds up to 24 hours of listening time.
They'll be available in Google's new clearly white, kinda blue, and just black.
Google Clips
The company also announced a new type of camera that combines AI, software, and hardware to capture moments.
Credit: googleWith a high performance lens, shutter button, and an AI engine at the core of the camera, the hands-free, lightweight device was designed with parents and children in mind.
Google clips are going for $249 each.
